The exposure continued with a visit to the R&O Flight, giving cadets a closer look at advanced equipment and operational aspects, broadening their practical understanding. The afternoon was filled with an engaging and informative session by Lt Col Tajinder Sharma (AO, 4 J&K Bn NCC), who introduced cadets to the evolving world of drone technology, its applications, and future opportunities, truly inspiring young minds to explore new horizons. As the sun set, the energy remained high with a sharp and disciplined drill demonstration, reflecting teamwork and coordination, followed by lively cultural practice filled with talent and enthusiasm.

CAMP AT HIGH JOSH Day 3 at ATC Camp, Zorawar NCC Training Academy, Udhampur 🇮🇳 Another action-packed day for our NCC cadets as the day was filled with energy, learning, and growth. The morning kicked off with an intense PT/Yoga session, building stamina and team spirit, followed by firing practice by ‘B’ Coy, where cadets honed their focus and marksmanship skills. Drill sessions and .22 rifle handling further strengthened discipline, coordination, and confidence among the cadets. This was followed by an inspiring interaction with Mrs. Surbhi Kohli Bamba, who motivated cadets to develop essential life skills, positive thinking, and effective communication for future success. ✨ In the evening, cadets dived into the world of navigation with a session on cardinal points and types of North, enhancing their practical knowledge. The day was further energized by an engaging and dynamic session by Lt Col Yogender Gaur on personality development, which deeply motivated the cadets and encouraged them to build confidence, leadership qualities, and a positive outlook towards life. NCC CADETS UNDERGO DYNAMIC TRAINING DURING ATC CAMP April 30, on day 2, NCC cadets participating in the Annual Training Camp (ATC) at ZTA Udhampur, experienced an enriching and action-packed day filled with diverse training activities aimed at enhancing their physical fitness, discipline, and overall personality development. The day commenced with an energetic session of Physical Training (PT), promoting fitness, flexibility, and mental well-being among the cadets. This was followed by live firing practice of 'A' Coy, providing cadets with experience in handling firearms under expert supervision. Cadets also participated in General Drill sessions, focusing on precision, coordination and command execution, along with learning the word of command by Col Amarjot Kaur, CO 8 J&K Girls Bn Jammu. Followed by an introductory session on the .22 rifle was conducted to familiarize cadets with basic weapon handling. Later a Self-Defence session conducted by a Lt Col Yogender Gaur, equipped cadets with essential skills for personal safety and confidence. The day also included an informative visit by SDRF Udhampur, where cadets were introduced to disaster response techniques and emergency preparedness. The Camp Commandant addressed the cadets, motivating them to make the most of the training opportunities and instilling a sense of discipline and dedication. Academic training sessions covered important topics such as map reading, including conventional signs, scale, and grid system, along with topographical forms and terms. Additionally, cadets were introduced to the basic principles of flying drones, reflecting the integration of modern technology in training modules. The day concluded on a vibrant note with an evening talent hunt and cultural practice session, allowing cadets to showcase their creativity and talent, fostering team spirit and camaraderie. The camp continues to provide a comprehensive platform for cadets to develop leadership qualities, discipline, and a spirit of adventure.

ATC J-3 COMMENCES WITH FULL JOSH AT ZTA UDHAMPUR On 29 Apr, the Annual Training Camp commenced at ZTA Udhampur by 8 J&K Girls Bn, Jammu till 08 May, where 400 enthusiastic NCC cadets of JW and SW unite under one camp with unmatched energy and spirit. EmpowerHer: Rising Above Addiction GCW Gandhi Nagar's Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan 100-Days Pledge NCC cadets of 8 J&K Girls Bn. of PSPS Govt. College for Women Gandhi Nagar hosted intensive Drug Awareness activities under the NMBA 100-Days Campaign. Led by the Principal Dr. Kulvinder Kour, the activities emphasized drug-free campus, including pledges and educational workshops to foster a healthy, informed, and proactive student community against addiction. A series of activities a Marathon , Unity March and Pledge on the theme "Say No to Drugs: Break the Chains of Addiction "under the aegis of Directorate of Colleges with the objective of spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free society on April 28, 2026. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of NCC cadets under the guidance of ANOs Lt. Suman Bala and Lt Rukhsana Kouser. On 20th April, five Direct Commission of CTOs of 8 J&K Girls Battalion NCC Jammu, were promoted as ANOs. CTO Dr. Seema Kumari was promoted as Lieutenant, CTO Rhythm Bhardwaj, CTO Sharuti Sharma, CTO Arju Sharma, CTO Sarita Mathur, and CTO Bhanu Priya were promoted as Second Officer (S/O). The pipping ceremony was conducted under the aegis of the Commanding Officer 8 J&K Girls Bn NCC, who formally adorned the newly promoted ANOs with their ranks. Addressing the officers, Ma’am emphasized that with this elevation comes with greater responsibilities, and their shoulders now carry the weight of leadership and duty. She encouraged them to uphold the values of the NCC and perform their roles with dedication, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility, marking their achievements and dedication to the NCC. The occasion was made even more special as the family members of the officers were also present and joined in the celebration, sharing pride in this significant milestone.

On 16th April, a proud and momentous Pipping Ceremony was held in the NCC unit, where 4 ANOs were promoted to higher ranks in recognition of their dedication and service. F/O Maynata Sharma and F/O Kamla Sambyal were promoted to the rank of Chief Officer. S/O Kailash Kumari and S/O Ranjana Devi were promoted to the rank of F/O. The ceremony was conducted with great dignity and enthusiasm, reflecting discipline and values of the NCC. It was presided over by Col Muneesh Jasrotia and Col Amarjot Kaur, whose presence added prestige to the occasion. The officers were formally pipped with their new ranks, marking a significant milestone in their careers. The event was attended by fellow officers, cadets, and staff members, who witnessed the proud moment and extended their heartfelt congratulations. Awareness Event on Agniveer Recruitment at GDC Samba, Samba. An Indian Army Awareness Caravan from Delhi conducted an outreach programme at Government Degree College (GDC) Samba under supervision of 4jkbnncc Jammu on 31 March 2026 to motivate youth to join the Army as Agniveers. The event witnessed participation from ARO Jammu staff, Agniveer Caravan Rally team, PI Staff, ANO, faculty, NCC cadets (SD & SW), GDC students, and civil coaching candidates, totalling 183 participants. Army officials briefed attendees on entry schemes, eligibility, selection procedures, and career prospects. Motivational videos and interactive activities enhanced engagement.
