The way I just audibly gasped hearing about this unbelievable news. This celebrity death hurts because Sam Neill gave such phenomenal performances that raised generations especially as Dr. Alan Grant. Rest in peace to this legend 😭💔

RIP Sam Neill. We talk a lot about Isabelle Adjani’s terrifying & layered powerhouse performance in POSSESSION. Neill is just as seismic. Made me never want to be put in a situation where i gotta get divorced. Whole thing really feels like watching someone kill it all over love.

Just heard that Sam Neill passed away. Whether playing the devil incarnate or a nerdy fossil hunter he always brought real humanity to his characters. I have a particular fondness for his genre work and will miss his presence onscreen.

When I was a kid, I thought Sam Neill was the biggest and greatest actor on the planet because of Jurassic Park. Watching the rest of his filmography, it’s clear he just always brought that charisma to the screen through every single role. RIP.

Growing up, if I saw Sam Neill’s name on a movie I knew it was going to be good. His vitality was such that it governed the pulse of fear and awe in the audience. He just reeled you in immediately and you didn’t want to let go. R.I.P. to an all-time great.

Sam Neill was so great in so many things. In The Mouth of Madness. Jurassic Park. Red October. But for me he’ll always be Damien Thorn in the flawed but ambitious The Final Conflict, a film he dominates every frame of. RIP Sir
