This afternoon in @naasparish students from Scoil an Linbh Íosa / Holy Child School received the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane. @BishopDNulty presided at the ceremony, assisted by Fr. Liam Morgan PP and Deacon Jody Callan.

The Government has today made a funding commitment of over €50 million through our Shared Island Fund to 10 new programmes, investing for the future to improve people’s lives and strengthen connections across the island of Ireland.

As always a very powerful evening in @CarlowCathedral for the Annual @JP2Award for @KandLeYouth as 33 were awarded with Papal Crosses, 174 received Gold Medals, 16 received Silver Medals and 13 received Bronze Medals - so proud of all these young people @KANDLEi

Remembering with fondness Fr. Eddie Moore PE who died earlier today. Fr. Eddie served in Liverpool, Kildare, Kill, Portlaoise, Kilcock and retired from Allen where he was PP for 21 years, in retirement he resided very happily in Naas, may his gentle soul rest in peace @KANDLEi

Listening to @HMcEntee on @RTENewsAtOne and her statement that everything including pension parity would be on the table in a talks process, it would be useful for some direct contact with @forsa_union_ie to see if there's a sufficient basis to suspend the strike pending talks.

Noreen (in hi vis) is an amazing secretary, the person who answers my frequent emails with patience & kindness & is a consistent go to person for my SEN children at school. We'd be lost without her! Noreen deserves the same entitlements as other school staff 🙌 #pensionparity
