Grace Protocol enforces spend policy in two places. At the gateway: fast rejection, no network cost, no on-chain fee. On-chain, for high-value transactions: the policy is encoded into the Solana instruction itself. Bypass the gateway and the program still rejects the transfer.

What the Grace Protocol Solana settlement bridge actually does on each payment: 1. Constructs an SPL Token transfer instruction (agent ATA → payee ATA) 2. Signs with the agent keypair 3. Submits to network, waits for confirmation under 1000ms 4. Writes the ledger account to graceprotocol.sol 5. The program emits an event the geyser indexer picks up Settlement and recording are one transaction. Transaction submitted, hash returned in response 6. Original request replayed with proof All inside one request.

Hong Kong, three weeks ago. Our conversation was about agents: how many were already in the wild, how much money they were already moving, and how the rails underneath them were splintering into protocol silos before the category even had a name. x402 was settling tens of millions of transactions on Solana. MPP had just landed at the IETF with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and fifty other services already wired in. Two protocols, both real, both growing, neither going away.
