White played 12 different players in the first quarter. What is this, 8U AAU basketball?

They’re already painting Caitlin as a disruption and a distraction. This is only going to get worse, I fear. And it goes way deeper than just a bench convo. These are players being asked to fit a system instead of being coached to their strengths, it’s not just Caitlin.

If this is really what Steph said, this is kinda wild because Caitlin actually did a decent job last night. Kept everyone in front of her and forced tough shots most possessions. Fever’s defensive scheme refused to help out their franchise cornerstone.

@Nauka220 @GoHawks_1914 Good points. But I think Stephanie White would rather see Caitlin Clark injured so she can be released and Stephanie can stay. Twisted thinking goes on at the Fever organization. I think they like Stephanie White and I don’t understand why.

Unfotunately SW is not going anywhere. You would have to replace the whole coaching staff and FO. CC is not going to be traded mid season or if at all. So it looks like we will have to put up with this season. If any changes come, it will be next season. CC needs to make a choice, when she says SW is a great coach and is seen hugging her, she loses creditability. Just my 2 cents.

So long as Kelly Krauskopf is President of the Indiana Fever, the Fever will never get rid of Stephanie White as coach. Krauskopf has been with the Pacers organization since 1999, silent on the Fever side, sometimes on the Pacers side. Her roots with the Simons go deep. White's roots with Krauskopf go very deep: ✔️ White played for the Fever in 2000-2004. In 4 of these 5 years, Fever did not make the playoffs. White had to retire from being a player due to injury and went off to be an assistant coach at the college level. ✔️ Fever brought her back to be assistant coach 2011-2014. Lin Dunn was head coach during these years. They won the championship in 2012. Tamika Catchings was the star player that year. That roster also included two people who are now assistant coaches for the Fever, Karima Christmas and Briann January. ✔️ White was head coach for the Fever in 2015-2016. Both years, Fever made the playoffs but no more championship wins. ✔️White left the Fever in 2016 (the same year Catchings retired) to go do college coaching. ✔️Throughout all of the above years of White's involvement with Fever as both a player and also as part of the coaching staff, Kelly Krauskopf was the General Manager. 2000-2017. White and Krauskopf have a deep history together. Looks like White was a nepo hire in 2024 instead of casting the net for the best available coach. You want to criticize Fever's defense? Their defensive coach is Briann January. Considering her history with Kelly Krauskopf and Stephanie White, she's not going anywhere. You want to criticize Fever's offense? Their offensive coach is Austin Kelly, husband of Karima Christmas-Kelly. He was in a similar role at the Connecticut Sun when Stephanie White was head coach there - Now You Know why Fever offense looks like rewarmed Sun offense. And Austin Kelly's history with Stephanie White goes back to Vanderbilt, when he was assistant coach under her 2019-2021. Between his history of being married to Fever royalty (Karima) and being assistant coach under Stephanie White from 2019 to the present, he's not going anywhere unless he gets a head coach job opportunity somewhere else. Lots of intertwined tentacles within the Fever.

Caitlin Clark was absolutely cookin. Running offense. They were up a little, doing great. Only 3.5 minutes in Stephanie White puts her and half the starting lineup on the bench, only leaving Kelsey, Mo & bench players to play like ass and now they’re down. SW is the worst. #WNBA

Steph white was subbing people in and out every 4 min constantly taking players out of their rhytm ( all 11 players played in the first quarter ) I blame this loss on her. ESPECIALLY because of that early caitlin clark & aliyah boston sub.
