We really felt the energy of the crowd. They were really warm and it felt like a celebration of a long and beautiful season for us. We are just really grateful.” Guillaume on their preparation: “After the Olympics, we were in Paris and had some media time. Then we got sick and had the flu. Then we had a little less time than we thought to prepare for Worlds, but it wasn’t that hard, honestly. We take so much pleasure in everyday practice and I think we were just really trying to enjoy our last days and weeks of practice with our coaching team. I think we are so grateful that we got this experience this year. We achieved all of our goals that we set for ourselves a year ago.” Guillaume on whether this World title feels different: “I mean, every season feels new and like a new chapter. Every competition, I would say. I think there’s always the time where you wonder if you’re going to feel stressed again, and you always do, unfortunately. But thankfully every time you step on the ice, I think it’s a new experience. I think that’s what we love about it. Every time we get different emotions, different stories to share with the audience.” On their next plans: Laurence: “We are leaving on Monday on vacation, both of us together, so we are going to be spending more time together, but outside the ice, just for fun and to celebrate with our families and our coaching team.” #WorldFigure #FigureSkating
