🤝🏻 We’re delighted to strengthen our Chaplaincy team with the addition of former academy player Ryan Nixon. Ryan will be focusing on our younger Bangor FC Academy age groups, offering encouragement, pastoral support and a positive influence as our players develop both on and off the pitch. His heart for young people and his desire to see them grow in confidence, character and wellbeing make him a fantastic addition to the club. 💛 Mark Haughey has now been discharged from hospital and is back home. Following further checks, doctors are satisfied there are no underlying concerns at this stage and everything is progressing positively. Mark would like to pass on his sincere thanks to the medical teams at Bangor FC and Glenavon FC, as well as staff at the Ulster Hospital, for their care and support. He also greatly appreciates all the messages of encouragement and well wishes received over the past few days. 🟡🔵

Mark Haughey and Iestyn Hughes were assessed in A&E yesterday. Iestyn Hughes has since been discharged and is feeling fine. Mark Haughey remains in hospital as a precaution and will undergo further investigations before discharge. We will continue to monitor his condition and provide an update in due course. We thank everyone for their concern and well wishes. 🟡🔵

It is with great sadness that we have learned about the passing of our Vice President, Sammy Mellon. Sammy was an integral member of our club and community for many years. His unwavering support meant so much to everyone involved. His commitment and passion will never be forgotten, and his presence will be deeply missed at Clandeboye Park by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Sammy’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. There will be a minute silence before today’s match in his memory. 💛💙
