@RachelD1892 Nope, drag us down just as far. Burnham will be beat for MP by Reform. So Starmer v Streeting. Streeting will lose so we remain as we are

Streeting has declared his intention to run for the leadership of the Labour Party. He wants to be our next Prime Minister and says that our future lies back in the EU. Do you think he would be an improvement on Starmer?

Really good goal by Manchester City, the well-heeled Semenyo finish, deserved reward for Guardiola's more attacking intent to the FA Cup final (4-2-4). Swift attack led to the goal, helped by Chelsea mistakes. Hato failed interception of Cherki ball from deep, diverting it towards Haaland. Fofana not tight enough to Haaland. Caicedo stood off Silva. Nobody went with Haaland. Colwill not tight enough to Semenyo. Chelsea errors, City excellence. #CHEMCI

@henrywinter Tell us how Khusanov is still on the pitch after 3 blatant fouls in the penalty area...or does that not suit your anti Chelsea bias commentary

A lot of people will remember Bernardo Silva as a winner. I personally will always remember him as a snide little wimp who was allowed to get away with too much to the point where he felt comfortable talking tougher than he really was.
City Xtra@City_Xtra

Bernardo Silva on Arsenal: “They’ve been growing and… well, a team that’s been together for five years now, so it’s only natural they man up a little bit and start challenging for titles. Let’s see what happens… “No, I’m not in love [with them]. I do believe our main rivals [in his time at #ManCity] were Liverpool by far. “I also believe - and I know this is very subjective - that if we weren’t in a transitional season and didn’t make so many mistakes, we would’ve won this league. I don’t say easily, but we would’ve won. So it’s quite frustrating…” Full interview with @OliverKay. ⤵️ nytimes.com/athletic/72804…

This is Micky Donovan who played drums in a band before losing his way in life and ending up in the Macari Centre. I visited him in hospital on Thursday and was planning to go back that night when they rang me. Another gone before his time, that is homelessness for you. RIP Micky

If Carlsberg did transfer windows… Isak, Ekitike, Wirtz, Kerkez, Frimpong, Leoni and possibly Guehi would probably be the greatest transfer window by a club ever. #LFC

Angela Rayner is clearly gearing up for a Labour leadership bid and today she’s conveniently announced she’s been cleared by HMRC over her unpaid £40,000 stamp duty bill. It all stinks to high heaven, but that’s modern politics for you. Do people really want this woman running the country? The same Angela Rayner who, in that infamous Andrew Neil interview, couldn’t explain basic tax policy to save her life? Go and rewatch it. @afneil presses her on corporation tax and capital gains tax and she hasn’t got a clue - no figures, no policy detail, just vague waffle. If she doesn’t understand complex tax issues, how on earth is she fit to run the economy or the country? She’s clueless. And the last thing Britain needs right now is her stepping into No 10 when Starmer is inevitably forced out. That’s the real problem: even if he goes, the Labour Party is absolutely stuffed with useless politicians. No matter who replaces him, things aren’t going to get any better unfortunately.

@samuelluckhurst 67000 in a 77000 stadium so empty seats, given the cries of sell if OT not what it seams. A Utd reporter having a go at City who would have thought it. City a club who have fans travelling, yet again, to London on Sat.

Regardless of tribalism, ‘Emptihad’ taunts etc. it is not a good look that a 7,000-capacity training ground stadium is pockmarked by empty seats at kick-off for an FA Youth Cup final when more than 67,000 were inside Old Trafford for the 2022 final.

Mikel Arteta on the reaction to THAT VAR call against West Ham: “I haven’t seen any of that, I’m sorry. I think it’s very clear, I don’t think anybody that has football knowledge would question about the decision & I’m glad they took the right one.” ✅

Well there we have it. Labour MP's lacking the b2lls to start a leadership contest. Starmer will drag Labour to oblivion. So be it. All these people calling for Starmer to go but not one capable of taking him on.
