Last nights Aurora Borealis over Suffolk skies bury st Edmund’s. Considering the light pollution from the sugar factory my @Apple iPhone 14 captured some amazing images. 30 sec exposure is just incredible for a phone.

@theredsolicitor There is a duty to prepare a pitch fit for first class cricket to last 4 days. I belive this is in place for the game and spectators. Not the outcome of a game which ever way the result goes. It’s easy to brush over because Essex out performed the home team in away conditions.

@Graham_Napier If the concern is that the 'misconduct' affects the match, then the pitch surely has more of an effect than a few mms on a single bat. But I suppose the point against it is both teams played on the same pitch and Warks have suffered the consequences already.

I wonder if Warwickshire (test match ground) will be deducted points for a game over inside 2 days? If they do will it be proportionate?
