A major problem for American tourists in Panama is they see car rentals online for $4 a day or $12 a day. This is always misleading advertising, it's scamy and leaves tourist feeling ripped off and sour on Panama. Even if you pay $100 a day for a car rental and include the insurance on the booking website, they still add $40 or $50 extra in insurance per day. So the $16 a day car the American tourist sees online ends up costing him $150 a day in reality. Juega vivo mopri!

2. Getting ripped off by rental car companies in Panama with hidden fees and false advertising.
Tourists that feel ripped off get a bad impression and don't return.
