What can be said about the much-missed Victoria Wood, born on this day in 1953, that hasn’t been said a million times before? She possessed a singular talent to amuse, and her genius will fortunately continue to brighten our lives forever. Here she is blasting out the wonderful Let's Do It - The Ballad of Barry and Freda, on 1988's An Audience with Victoria Wood.

@GraniteElements Thanks. I get a lot of inspiration from around here. I'm just on the edge of the Peak District. There's alway something to paint. I just finished the Dove valley one today at my art class but I'm going to put it away for a day or two then have another look at it.

Evening. I've got two very different ones this week. The left one is just pastel, the right one is watercolour and Derwent Inktense with a little pastel. It's from a photo of the Dove Valley, which is only about half an hour's drive from home. #mycreativeweek

@GraniteElements #mycreativeweek I have been looking up close at plants growing in the hedgerows along the Granite Tramway bridlepath. Bracken, Cow Parsley and Buttercups then making Cyanotype material for a Lampshade and Cushions. Capturing the moment as the Bracken unfurls before it has gone !
