I am deeply saddened by the tragic events that took place in Tumbler Ridge. Thank you to the first responders and RCMP who were on scene for your bravery. Canada is mourning with you.

Last night I had the opportunity to speak Bill C-227 - A National Strategy on Housing for Young Canadians. I’m pleased to see that someone on the Liberal bench is concerned with the lack of homes being built in Canada. However, another strategy is not going to get a single home built. The Liberals need to stop talking about strategies and frameworks. Conservatives will cut bureaucracy and red tape to allow builders to get building and we will cut taxes on home building to incentivize municipalities to build fast than ever before.

Gen Z Canadians are left with as little as $9 every month. Full-time work. No home ownership. The Liberals sat young people have never had it so good, but Gen Z isn’t buying it. Literally.

Yesterday, the House of Commons unanimously voted in favour of Bill C-18. Once this Bill goes through committee it will reduce tariffs, expand markets for Canadian goods, improve predictability, and strengthen economic ties between Canada and Indonesia.

Conservatives are endorsing hopeful solutions that will ensure safer streets, more job opportunities, and affordable home ownership. Under the leadership of @PierrePoilievre we will get the work done for hard working Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

Liberals doubled down on their expensive gun grab that seizes the property of licensed, law-abiding Canadians while doing nothing to stop the real source of gun crime: Criminals who continue to ignore the law and smuggle firearms across our borders. Conservatives will scrap this waste, lock up gun criminals and gangsters, and stop the smuggling of illegal firearms at the border: conservative.ca/cpc/stopthegun…
Larry Brock@LarryBrockMP

Police know what works. It's time the Liberals listened to them. End the failed gun grab. Target illegal gun smugglers and traffickers.

I am deeply concerned by this federal Liberal government’s decision to cut positions at the Brandon Research and Development Centre, a move that will weaken agriculture research capacity in Western Manitoba and hurt our rural Manitoba economy.    The Brandon Research and Development Centre has served farmers, producers, agribusiness, and Manitoba’s scientific community for decades. It plays a vital role in advancing crop, soil, and livestock research tailored to prairie conditions, helping producers improve productivity and sustainability in the face of climate and market pressures.    Research conducted at the Brandon Centre has supported innovation in cereal and oilseed production, soil health, pest management, and sustainable farming practices that benefit producers across Manitoba and the Prairies.     Prime Minister Mark Carney said himself on January 20th - "A country that cannot feed itself, fuel itself or defend itself has few options. When the rules no longer protect you, you must protect yourself." For Canada to continue our mission of self-reliance we need to advance food science, and the Brandon Research Centre is critical to that mission.     The cuts come after Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has already seen staffing reduced by roughly 10 per cent over the past decade, even as the federal public service overall expanded significantly.    A research centre cannot simply “do more with less” indefinitely. These reductions will limit the breadth of work carried out in Brandon, reduce summer employment opportunities, and diminish the Centre’s long-term impact on both research outcomes and the local community.    This decision is part of a long-term pattern of neglect toward federal agriculture research, including past program closures that have already weakened Canada’s public research capacity. Rural communities like Brandon should not be paying the price for Ottawa’s budget mismanagement.    The uncertainty facing workers is unacceptable. These are skilled professionals whose lives and livelihoods are being disrupted, and the ripple effects are felt across the entire workplace and community.    Once again, this government’s actions stand in direct contradiction to its rhetoric about supporting science, innovation, and rural Canada. Farmers and researchers deserve better than cuts made behind closed doors.

Canada leads the G7 in food price inflation. If tariffs were to blame, Germany and the UK would be just as bad. They’re not. And U.S. tariffs don’t apply to Canadian food anyway. Time for the Prime Minister to stop dodging accountability.
Pierre Poilievre@PierrePoilievre

Sorry to break it to you, Mr. Carney: people can’t eat speeches. They need affordable grocery prices—and Canada’s are rising the fastest in the G7, so you can’t blame it on global causes. End the hidden grocery taxes. Stop printing money.

Please see my statement on Canadian Food Inspection Agency Regulations on Identification and Traceability:   Conservatives strongly opposed these proposed changes in 2023 when the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) first raised the expansion of traceability requirements and mandatory livestock movement reporting. These measures would impose additional red tape and regulatory burden on Canadian farmers and ranchers at a time when they are already facing significant cost and administrative pressures.   Canadians are struggling to put food on the table, and producers are concerned that new regulations set to take effect later this year will impact the economic viability of their operations. Agricultural societies, fairs, 4-H clubs, rodeos, and other community organizations also warned these regulations could undermine their ability to host events vital to rural life, youth engagement, and local economies.   The Canadian Food Inspection Agency must pause the implementation of these changes and undertake fulsome consultations with farmers, ranchers, and community associations. Any decisions must be guided by a clear assessment of economic impacts, a commitment to reducing red tape and regulatory burden, and a focus on strengthening Canada’s food security and food affordability.   Conservatives believe in the strength, resilience, and prosperity of Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sectors. Regulatory obstacles must not increase food costs or impede our farmers and producers from doing what they do best—proudly feeding Canada and the world.

This is the result of fuelling hate. This is the result of excusing it. This is the result of targeting people simply for celebrating their faith. At least 11 are dead. Countless more injured who will now carry this trauma for life. Our communities around the world are unsafe. Tragically, my friend Arsen who joined us in Ottawa last year and who dedicated his life to fight antisemitism and terror was badly injured. The time for thoughts and prayers is long over. We must stand united and confront these vile attacks on western values and freedom wherever they exist, without hesitation and without the deafening silence of complicity. We will never stop fighting against terror or for anyone to practice their faith in the open. x.com/ostrov_a/statu…

Thoughts and prayers to my good friend @Ostrov_A his family, all those impacted by the horrific events at Bondi beach. Arsen recently moved his family to Australia to help fight the spreading anti-semitism.

Another targeted antisemitic terrorist attack, where innocents were slaughtered. Conservatives mourn today with Jewish communities in Australia and around the world. We will never stop our efforts to crush terrorism and antisemitism so Jewish people can live, worship, and celebrate their faith openly—without fear.

In case there was any doubt: I have been a Conservative my entire life and have no intention of crossing the floor. Brandon-Souris voters overwhelmingly supported our Conservative plan to restore the promise of this great country, and that is exactly what I remain focused on delivering. I am deeply disappointed in colleagues who have abandoned the promises their voters elected them to deliver.

Michael Ma was elected as a Conservative by the constituents of Markham-Unionville to fight against Liberal inflationary spending driving up the cost of living in his community. Today, he chose to endorse the very policies he was elected to oppose. The same policies driving up food prices and making life more expensive for all. The people he let down the most are the ones who elected him to fight for an affordable future. He will have to answer to them.

Instead of scrapping their failed bail laws, the Carney Liberals now want to criminalize people of faith for quoting the Bible or Torah. This is not what our veterans fought for, and I will fight this attack on our freedoms.

Today I moved a motion to immediately prioritize urgent bail and sentencing reform to protect Canadians. The Liberals blocked and shut it down. They refuse to act, refuse to treat community safety as urgent, and choose delay while crime continues to rise. Conservatives are prepared to sit through the Christmas break—however long it takes—to get Bill C-14 passed. Canadians deserve a justice system that puts victims and public safety first. The Liberals don’t agree. We will keep fighting.

Grocery bills are rising at an unprecedented pace, and 60,000 Manitobans now rely on food banks each month. Liberal tax hikes, endless packaging rules, and out-of-control spending have only made life worse. Canadians deserve real action, not Liberal deflection!

Watch how this Minister and the Govt House Leader can’t handle the truth, and how the Liberal caucus blindly cheers them on. Groceries will rise by a record $1000 next year, yet all we get from this government is deflection.

Mark Carney and his Liberal candidate allowed a communist dictatorship to intimidate a Canadian citizen running for office. Just months earlier, Carney secured a $276 million refinancing deal from the Bank of China for his company. PROC must get to the bottom of this.
