Curveball Tips • Stiff wrist • Throw it with intensity • Try to throw it by the hitter • Sight catchers mask for strike • Sight glove to bury it • Hand speed happens out front • Middle finger & thumb dominant • Play around with loose or tight grip • Let armslot be, no climbing up slot @FlatgroundApp

The secret is loading & unloading the back leg/hip. We call it “hiding the hip” from the catcher. Trying to keep the back or front hip hidden as long as we can, which helps us stay sideways & rotate late. Allowing you to gather momentum & build tension in the back leg/hip simultaneously. Incoming “that’s not 93mph on the speed gun” comments 🫠 @FlatgroundApp

This tip can help almost every pitcher. Front foot down, then throw, is the feeling you want. Allowing your delivery to happen, getting to a strong position at foot strike, then bringing down the house. Well timed intensity. Staying sideways as long as possible. Gathering rhythm before foot strike & getting violent after. Rotating late, being patient. @FlatgroundApp

Keys to building command, • Throw to targets regularly • Every throw must have a purpose • Get majority of your drill work done on the mound, touch the slope daily in some capacity @FlatgroundApp

Buy-in is about trust. Invest your time, but don’t forget to invest your emotions. Get in the trenches with your guys. Build the strength of the relationship from the ground up, the same way you’d build the delivery. @FlatgroundApp

Hovering the ball in the set position can help you feel in-sync. The ball isn’t touching the glove, just floating in it. This can help consistency splitting hands. Instead of the pressure from the split being different each time. Better capturing arm swing. @FlatgroundApp

A cue that I’ve seen clean up direction, “Keep the front leg in the air” This can help you move your center of mass down the mound longer. Staying sideways. Notice the float-like movement at peak leg lift. This is a trait that strike throwers possess. @FlatgroundApp

Your first move is the most important. Gain momentum & load the back hip. Create effortless direction. A lot of my guys like the cue, “hide the hip” from the catcher. Back hip or front, whichever makes more sense to you. @FlatgroundApp

Delivery Simplified, • Relax in the set position, stay loose • Create & control momentum (hide the hip) • Stay sideways, delay rotation • Be patient, rotate late, create force into foot strike • Keep back foot on the ground through release @FlatgroundApp

The hurdles act as a visual aid to help define extension. Throwing through a hallway. If you’re having trouble missing east to west this setup can help. @FlatgroundApp

Best HS slider I’ve seen in awhile. • Find a comfortable grip, try loose & tight • Pull down on side of ball • Think chop/slice through zone • Hand speed out front • Throw it like a 🏈 • In training have catcher up extended glove side to get hand out front @FlatgroundApp
