@Uncertain_Pine1 @Dannypicacho There wasn't a "spark" in Minecraft events. We were all just young and new to the concept of a MC event. More people are now able to feel that "spark" you describe by playing for themselves for the first time, whilst supporting the developer.

@Dannypicacho My statement was I personally feel that the small event community has lost the spark it once had. It is no one person’s fault, it is no one event’s fault, it’s just an unfortunate problem with no clear solution. And if people disagree with me, that’s understandable and okay

No hate to Bugboi or any other specific hosts but this type of event is exactly what I feared when events first started being commercialized, pay to play. The event community was supposed to be a place where people came together to have a fun time competing in a silly block

@RABBI3D I do agree. Although there's technically "more", non-men making up roughly a third of Minecraft event rosters despite the community being quite open and accepting is still a surprise.
The only solution I can personally see is to be more welcoming and promoting.

if you hate the system, the easiest solution is to not play or watch paid events
