@BantrySeedman @DwayneMihalicz I wasn’t a PGR believer either until a power issue kept me from moving a pivot for my manipulator pass. It was almost double yield where it was standing and a lot more fun to cut (durum)

Spending less and less time on X for personal reasons, but have to post about our local Foodgrains harvest today. 16+ combines (lost count), 5 grain carts, 14 semis, and 3 airplanes (yes, airplanes!). Barley yielded awesome, 150+bpa. We grow this crop for two reasons:

I know folks think corn silage doesn’t need a fungicide. Do you care about yield and feed quality? Consider a fungicide at tassel. Call your local aerial applicator and get an excellent crop. Talk to your @NutrienAg_SAB teams about seeing the benefit.

@cpfarmsltd @ChristiFriesen @Mullin_95 @rhofford We spray out Reglone at 5+gallon . We’ve been called in to spray fields that ground rigs couldn’t get a good kill on and have had better success drying down crop We are also in a very diff area with pivots and sensitive crop every where so it’s a bit of a challenge

@ChristiFriesen @Mullin_95 @rhofford Oh that’s a pretty bold statement. Yes we’ve put down the papers. I’ve had desiccation done by air beside a ground rig and the plane worked far better even with the ground rig at 20gal. Plane spray really penetrates dense canopy even at 4 gal @GravityAg_AB

Fungicide is a waste , but Sclerotinia is everywhere…
