This is the most important thing for Pep tomorrow, Doku separation, Haaland occupy the 2 CB giving space for an extra runner, Cherki inside space chance creation. If they get it right tomorrow, it’s over before it even begins.
A.@ThisIsAgam

If Doku and Haaland sync tomorrow, it is over before it even begins. I can’t wait for it. Jeremy Doku is playing out of his mind right now. Constant 1v1 separation, collapsing defensive structures and repeatedly generating high value cutback zones and he is executing his role to perfection. He’s the chaos City need. Erling Haaland meanwhile is still operating on elite spatial mapping scanning relentlessly, timing blind side darts and penalty spot adjustments to the exact moment space opens. He is arriving right, consistently. But the outcomes haven’t matched. 24 missed big chances, ~10% conversion since January. That’s not structural failure. That’s finishing variance. The real detail is timing. Every additional touch even at this level slightly disrupts the crossing rhythm. Not because Doku is wrong but because Haaland is already there. He is playing to attack space at the first possible moment. Against Arsenal’s 4-4-2 transition control block at Wembley, the unspoken code is simple. Isolate Doku, pin central control and trigger the release instantly the exact microsecond he shifts his body. Early whip or immediate cutback. No delay. Because you cannot play to beat the man when your striker is playing to beat the space. If Doku’s elite creation continues and Haaland’s finishing regresses even slightly to his norm, City will unlock a level of vertical lethality no defensive block in Europe can live with. And as a City fan? I’m backing that moment to arrive tomorrow. 💙

🗣️ Jamie Carragher on Arsenal F.C.: “Arsenal have a very strong chance of winning the Premier League, but the real test for them this week is the match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen tomorrow and the cup final on Sunday. These two games could define their season. If Arsenal win them, their confidence will grow, they’ll become very difficult to stop, and they’ll carry huge momentum into the Premier League run. But if they lose both, it could seriously affect their morale — losing a final and potentially being knocked out of the Champions League in the same week could damage their momentum. This is a massive week for Arsenal and could shape the rest of their season.” 🔴⚪️

🚨 Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler: “I’ve texted Arteta. I have huge respect for him, one of the top managers in the Premier League”. “I love to see them play and I admire a lot of elements of what they are doing. My comments were nothing personal”.

We need to have a conversation about ‘second leg home advantage’, it’s a complete myth. I’d much rather play the first leg at home and get a result going into the second one. PSG, Real, Bodø and Atletico Madrid are all basically through already.

I think we're seeing how dead the Premier League has become with it's boring obsession with long throws and crowding keepers. They've forgotten how to play football

We got drawn against the easiest team possible. Arteta decided to play with his handbrake on. No one show me a single match when we played fluid attacking football with Timber and Hincapie.

Crazy how there's such a unanimous backing for Arsenal to beat Leverkusen. I know we're clearly the better & stronger team, but the total lack of humility in these predictions feels eerie—like it's the calm before the storm. Am I making sense here, or am I just overthinking it?
