"Are you alright, Hecate?" After a cautious moment he clearly noticed her hand still holding his. "Alright, is this what you recall the pit looks like? It's kind too non-descript from here."

-so the weak, dark red light was visible, but nothing else. It was quite similar to the kind of illumination one would expect of a dark room. It was somewhat cold, and surprisingly there wasn't any particular stench making the atmosphere feel made of farts.

Between the kiss, the comment about dying and wanting to put behind the portal jump (who knew if it was even well calibrated, it wouldn't be the first time he appeared on the other side a few metres above the floor and head upside-down), Gray stepped into it-

"Understood. We stay close, within reach if possible. If it becomes a disadvantage in combat we make sure to have visual contact within a reasonably short distance." He looked at the portal. "We cross together. We hit fast and even harder. We come back together. Shall we?"

Gray smiled briefly to Hecate's last statement and the following hand squeeze. It wasn't due to any awkwardness or doubt about it, if one looked at his black eyes, dim embers formed loosely the circle of an iris. In other words, he was furious.

@GrievedCreation >Haven't been so long, but definitely has gone from mildly unwelcoming to outright unfriendly. Basically the default answer to any attempt to interact is no answer. Even with people that has followed me back.

+ In truth, it's been rather depressing looking back through my older DMs, some going back as far as 2016 and just remember how big my old RP group used to be Sure, they can't stick around forever, but I do find myself wishing they were still here. I miss my friends.

🩸Daily rant, well, not so much a rant, more an observation. Might just be me on my side of things but does anyone else feel like this place has become really unfriendly? I've been doing this hobby for over a decade and it seems like people aren't really approachable anymore

I do have a sense of preservation, as in, I won't do something outright suicidal, but it takes a lot to make me afraid, so I have (or someone else) to consciously check if I'm about to do something reckless. I still do it often, nonetheless. There's specific things that do scare me, not to the point of running away, but do make me afraid.
