🚨Storm Chances Saturday-Sunday🚨 • Scattered showers and a few storms are possible again this afternoon before diminishing this evening. More storms will spread into our region from the west overnight tonight, a few of which could contain damaging winds, and large hail before tapering off Sunday morning. • Scattered storms are expected to redevelop on Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. Some of these storms may be strong to severe with damaging winds, large hail, and a low tornado threat. Have multiple ways to receive warnings! Stay weather aware! 🚨Severe Threat This Weekend🚨 Scattered storms are possible today (Friday) but no severe threat is expected. Saturday night after midnight, a weakening complex of storms may move into the region from the west bringing another round of rain, lightning, and a low threat for damaging winds and/or large hail. The primary severe risk this weekend will be on Sunday. There is a risk for FLASH FLOODING, Large Hail, and Damaging Wind gusts. A potential tornado threat may exist on Sunday. Have multiple ways to receive warnings. Stay weather aware.

⛈️Thursday Update on Weekend Weather⛈️ On Friday and Saturday there continues to be a chance for isolated thunderstorms, but the severe threat is very low. The primary opportunity for strong to severe storms will be Sunday and Monday afternoon and evening. Hazards are damaging wind gusts, hail, and a flash flood threat Sunday evening into the overnight hours as well. Have multiple ways to receive warnings. Stay weather aware. We have been posting a lot about “No Burn Days” but how does that differ from a “Burn Ban”? “Burn Bans” are set by Commissioners Court and prohibit outdoor burning for a set period of time. “No Burn Days” occur when certain state regulations are met.
