@CAGChennai @RinkiSharma The current situation in India benefits a lot of people, hence a lethargy and inertia at a policy level. Hence, we the people should take our health in our own hands. Who will take care of our family if we are dead, or worse, disabled due to stroke or heart attack? (2/2)

@CAGChennai @GreataSherene Besides medication, adopting a healthy lifestyle can help normalize blood pressure. Focus on regular exercise, a balanced diet low in sodium, managing stress levels, limiting alcohol intake, and avoiding smoking. Consistency is key!#BeatThePressure

@CAGChennai @GreataSherene A11 For hypertension, consider the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet. It emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and low-fat dairy while reducing sodium, saturated fats, and sweets. Consult your doctor for personalized advice!#BeatThePressure

@CAGChennai @GreataSherene A12 Processed foods are like stealthy ninjas, sneaking in excess sodium and hidden sugars into our diets, paving a salty and sweet road to hypertension. Keep an eye out for those tricky labels!#BeatThePressure

@CAGChennai Processed foods contain too much sodium which can cause water retention (sodium imbalance) which can increase blood volume and put extra strain on the heart and blood vessels thereby increasing the blood pressure. #BeatThepressure

@GreataSherene @CAGChennai Instead of salt, other natural flavouring agents like lemon, pepper etc may be used according to the food items. Also, having fresh fruits lying around at home, or preparing simple salads can reduce the craving for the above mentioned junk food.
