Months ago, I set out the playbook to long hard once the DOJ news hit. I expected a similar PA like with the SEC news. Some dump, then up quickly. Little did I know that shorting after 1 minute was already too late. I got trapped in the position, unprepared for what to do in this case. Usually, I try not to panic and give the trade time, but with big news events and a much bigger size than usual, it’s probably best to close aggressively as soon as the price moves against you. Giving it time can be dangerous. Losses can add up very quickly in such volatile moments if you’re on the wrong side.
