I'm still working on the equipment. The backend is done, but the management UI not yet, so still incomplete visually. The only one with visual are the equipped consumable items on the bottom right. They also have visual effect when used in combat. #gamedev #IndieGameDev

I'm using this style for the in-game menu UI as well so hopefully it will be solid as well 😆 I agree with the minimap icon size, it is important to make it bigger and it is also a quick fix 💪 For the square around the skill, I need to put it in my backlog first because it might require more time to implement and then test it. I'll look at it after the playtest. Thank you for your suggestion! 😊

@GreenCaladrius tbh the UI already looks pretty solid👌 i really like the map at the center showing the amount of enemies, tho maybe make the miniboss/bosses on the map red and bigger or just add a setting in the menu to customize that >>>

The combat hint and collected items now use the same pop up on top left, just like the non-combat. I think it is better compared to putting the hint on bottom right like before. For the test I max out the drop rate so there's a lot of pop up. #gamedev #IndieGameDev

A character has basic attacks, 4 chosen action moves, and 4 skills. You can chain them as you wish. Like attack > attack > attack > action move > attack > attack > skill. But different inputs won't result in different move. And I choose hack n slash because I was really obsessed with DW5 back then and until now nothing beats the feeling of combat in that game for me 😆

@Undertak3r86 Yes, I'm thinking of doing things like characters introduction when I'm almost ready for the playtest 😉 And I can also show the non-combat mechanics once in a while. I thought they are less visual then combat for a post so I usually choose combat 😆
