This “Superman is human” is pissing me tf off and that why I would never be able to respect Gunn’s version for Superman. Superman’s greatness isn’t that he had to become human to care about people or for people, like Lex, to care about him. It’s that an alien with immense power chose to be Earth’s champion to people that isn’t his own, without surrendering who he is. He doesn’t need to assimilate or downplay his Kryptonian heritage to have empathy. that choice is more meaningful because he’s different. Making him ‘“just a human as anyone else” actually weakens the central idea of the character. True heroism is choosing to help people who aren’t like you, not pretending you are like them just to have a reason to be a good person. Stop this shit
