If you're wondering through Plascrug avenue after the 01st of June, you may notice some new labels on trees. These labels were bought with a grant from the Aberystwyth Town Council and are similar to those used by Kew Gardens. #trees #greenspaces

GAG is currently investigating the felling of 30+ seemingly healthy trees in Glan yr Afon industrial estate. Although replanting is proposed, we feel this was avoidable and are saddened at the loss. For more, check out the Facebook Post facebook.com/aber.gag/posts…

Brilliant to know this red data list species is present at a nature reserve just outside of Aberystwyth. Coed Geufron is accessible along the Rheidol cycle path via Blaendolau playing fields.

Plenty of bees enjoying the spring sunshine today at Pen Dinas Hill-fort, Aberystwyth, including this female Buffish mining bee (Andrena nigroaenea) and Forest cuckoo bee (Bombus sylvestris) - both personal firsts for the year. Wonderful place!
