Rental inflation is predicted to DOUBLE next year - this morning Essential found 60% of Australians support a rent freeze & millions are one rent increases away from eviction or financial stress. There is no justification for Labor refusing to coordinate a national rent freeze.

Midwives will co-design the northside freestanding birth centre and make sure we get a great outcome. We also got commitment to better support home birthing, birthing on Country and extended midwife-led continuity of care to more birth parents.

A community win! 🎉
Today, Greens MLA for Ginninderra, Jo Clay, tabled a petition with over 3000 signatures, calling for a freestanding birth centre. Canberrans have been campaigning for this since the 80s, and finally today received commitment from the ACT Gov to build one.
