@BrightonNewsJo You can see *all* the emails on *all* dates complained of by Kyle underling Domino Moore here: greghadfield.medium.com/witness-statem… Tell me if you still think the case was dismissed because of “an admin error” by the CPS. That’s not what the judge said.

Lindsay Hoyle cares about MPs like Peter Kyle when they get anxious/annoyed by constituents emailing them about the genocide committed by the terror state of Israel: @greghadfield/witness-statement-by-sir-lindsay-hoyle-speaker-of-the-house-of-commons-8256e1b2e9ca" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@greghadfield/…

Lindsay Hoyle, the Speaker of the House, has no jurisdiction over me. I am not afraid of him. He is a bully who did not even reply to a letter from a female Reform MP pleading for assistance with security until after I revealed it. If this is not true then I invite him to deny it on the record rather than try and bully the very people he has let down. Instead he briefs the press like a coward. He is a disgrace to his office.

@GregHadfield Peter would endorse Roland Rat if he thought he could make money out of it. The sort of creature no one could ever trust or rely on...........

Two important, maybe contradictory take-aways from this. The first is that this is a change in tone that has been forced by the left exercising its power inside but mostly outside of the Labour Party. Burnham is in office because the Greens helped destroy the Labour Party in May's local elections, which has scared MPs and empowered parts of the Party that wanted a change of approach. So to the extent that this an improvement on Labour's position, it is a reflection of how an electorally relevant and competent force to the left of Labour does impact on our national discourse and forces Labour to humanise its messages. And a change in tone from an incoming Prime Minister does have some, at least limited, impact on shaping our national discussion on Israel's genocide. The second point is that it is just tone. It's a three minute video for social media. It's not even set-piece for the cameras or in front of the national media. In the context of genocide, it's pretty thin gruel that many will undoubtedly find flippant and incidental. Certainly, the contrition obscures that on substantive policy, this is no different to the Starmer government's approach. No significant increase in sanctions, strongly implying that there will be no ending the F-35 carve-out from existing arms license restrictions, hiding behind (and effectively misrepresenting) international court rulings to not call out genocide or war crimes, and certainly no steps towards accountability for complicity for domestic actors. It is little different to what Hamish Falconer has been telling Parliament for months. And it is nowhere near enough. Doesn't even approximate being near enough, which will have to include a total and complete arms embargo, deproscribing Pal Action, and taking the concrete steps to prevent a genocide as required by the ICJ. So the left must now organise and use the power it has gathered to itself in order to continuing demanding and extracting the concrete changes that are needed to end this genocide and secure justice and accountability. If Burnham wants to cohere an electoral left-alliance to save his skin, some hand-wringing and watery eyes won't cut it.

Labour’s initial response to the treatment of Gaza caused huge hurt. We got it wrong and I am sorry for that.

Indeed. But then we weren’t told when Caplin was “NFA’d” by Sussex Police after allegedly sexually assaulting a homeless young person in a hostel in Brighton on March 7 2024….

OTD July 9 2016: Ivor Caplin conspired with his best friend Peter Kyle and sidekick Warren "Spit" Morgan to get Brighton, Hove and District Labour Party suspended. Because members voted 2:1 for a leadership team supportive of the policies epitomised by Jeremy Corbyn. youtube.com/watch?v=BBw3Tg…
