@mwintid Definitely occurred to me. But there’s little evidence that’s the case. Folks all have spotless records and aren’t given reasons for their dismissal. They were just selected by promotion boards that did a thorough review of their records.

Bauernschmidt commanded a nuclear carrier in the Pacific during a tense standoff with China. First woman to do it. Four star admirals vouched for her this year. Hegseth pulled her anyway. No reason given, to her or anyone else. Pentagon policy requires one. There isn't one on the record.

@JoshuaBRobbins I like Beekman. Seems like a smart player and a good shooter. The kind of guy who could help you out in a pinch over the course of a long season.

Sitting out the second game of an NBA Summer League back-to-back isn't going to impact anyone's long-term development, IMO. I think something that's being ignored here in the reaction is that the summer-league roster has additional bigs whose minutes could mean a lot to their futures for the upcoming season. Team officials have a responsibility to them, too. I expect Felix Okpara to receive plenty of developmental practice reps the remainder of this summer and many developmental games in the G League.

Unseld then told King to leave the court, but he refused, saying "I've earned the right to be here." He also, reportedly, called Unseld a "thug."
