Ball was in Kentucky players hands after the made basket. Once that happens ref does not have to give the timeout

Watch the Santa Clara coach right as they make the 3 to take the lead…he goes to call the timeout immediately but doesn’t get it granted…. Ref has to be aware of this no?!?!?

Once a Kentucky player has the ball in his hands after the made basket, the referee does not have to give the time out to the coach. End of story.
