We’ve been keeping her guardian in the loop. She will come up to visit her.
She was very thankful and emotional when we told her it would be ok for Maple. This is her entire world here (3/4)
Our newest arrival Maple today. She is a bit broken after being stabbed in the stomach.
I hate that I know the same pose from my own dog Chance also getting stabbed last year.
It’s been a tough day but her recovery is underway (1/4)
Tom Izzo is asked by @outkick’s @RealDanZak about media ripping him for being too tough on players and Charles Barkley’s defense of him, gives phenomenal answer on accountability. Watch this:
@Kuytstanding I said to Janine earlier that Kieran posting the last 15 secs of Dennis commentating a Gf he won was a mic drop. You’ve got him covered with this.
Not all AFL players can enjoy decorated careers, so we often have to cling onto the small things when it ends.
Which is why earning a place in Dennis Cometti’s “Centimetre Perfect” is a great source of pride for me 📪 ✉️
@RobPritchard78 Did either of my kids explain when you were out here about Daddy’s theory that ‘second place is first loser’? We’re taught in kinder that this definitely applies to cricket
With England in a bind in Brisbane, everyone is an expert and wants to attribute blame and find a scapegoat. I'm not here to do that. No professional cricketer aims to bowl a bad ball, play a poor shot or drop a catch. (CONT)
Teddy Swims electrified Accor Stadium with a powerhouse performance ahead of the NRL Grand Final
But the real question is — who stole the show?
Teddy Swims at the NRL Grand Final or
Snoop Dogg at the AFL Grand Final?
@WildcatsMark@SHC_WA As the proud Dad of a presenter, what a wonderful experience to have you all there to participate and engage- something the participants will never forget. Thank you Mark
I helped judge the finals for Just Start IT at my old high school @SHC_WA last night. It's a great program where high schoolers who are budding entrepreneurs pitch their startup ideas to a panel of judges in a Shark Tank style. The pitches were at a crazy high level (better than most pitches I hear) and I wish this program was around when I was in school. The only negative was the cost each startup team had to allocate for startup costs in Australia. I hope someday in Australia that starting and registering a business is way cheaper than it is now.
Had only seen snippets of this Tyrrell Hatton video but the longer cut is magnificent. From vulnerable ("It's gonna hurt a lot for a long time") to testy ("What kind of question's that?!") to watching J.J. Spaun's 65-footer in awe ("Unbelieeevable") all in 2 minutes. What a ride
15 years ago today, Crystal Palace FC were in a state of limbo.
At the end of the 2009/10 season, our players, having not been paid for 3 months, had overturned a 10 point deduction due to falling into administration, securing the draw we needed on the last day of the season away at Sheffield Wednesday to keep our heads above water in the Championship.
The club still faced an incredibly precarious future, with the stadium owned by Lloyds Bank who seemingly had little intention of selling it back. Due to fan protests, both outside Selhurst Park and at the headquarters of the bank itself in early June, they relented and gave Steve Parish and CPFC2010 the green light to purchase the stadium and keep the club alive.
That summer, the lifelong fans who fronted the aforementioned consortium were forced to navigate their way through club ownership as total novices; contending with a squad which had just 9 first-team players registered to it and a club infrastructure in desperate need of TLC. Fast-forward 3 years and the club had, despite the odds being stacked heavily against it, made it to the Premier League via a Play-Off Final victory over Watford. Prior to that promotion, Crystal Palace had never spent more than a single season in the Premier League; we’re now at the end of our 12th in a row with a 13th to come in August.
Today, we head into what is our 3rd ever FA Cup Final, we’ve lost the previous two in 1990 and 2016 and have never in our history won what is considered to be a “major” trophy.
I’ve been doing so much thinking about today’s game over the last week or so, the passage of support from my Granddad to my old man, down to me and now to my son; with that story of family ties a consistent theme throughout the entire Palace fan-base, we don’t support this club for glory, it’s about pride in South London and what that badge means to us.
We may win it, if we do, it’ll be a truly incredible feeling but whatever the outcome, I know that it won’t make the slightest bit of difference to how much I love our football club; it gives my life structure and meaning and looking back to those uncertain days in 2010, I know how close we came to losing it altogether.
One last push ladies and gentlemen, you never know. ❤️💙
