@baseballinpix Wrong year as no signage on Tiger Stadium upperdeck as this photo was from mid to late 90's

@BBGreatMoments Ernie Harwell. Had the honor of meeting him as well. Not sure it gets any better than that!

@MotorCityBanter I could not have been more than 5 or 6 years old. I watched this live- and then tried to replicate the shot in the church gym that afternoon, yelling “Tripucka for threee!!” Thanks for the memory!
English

@JimComparoni Exactly! I once sat front row, upper deck on the 3rd base line as a little kid. Lou Whitaker hit a foul ball so hard - you could hear the ball whistling right toward us. It hit that scoreboard directly in front of where we were sitting, and scared me half to death!
English

That infield upper deck closeness to the field is what people don’t understand. If they never sat up there, they don’t know what they don’t know.

Parrish waits patiently as Gibby finishes his at bat against the Brewers in front of a packed house at Tiger Stadium … 👍⚾️

We just arrived to @SCSTATE1896 where the university has confirmed that SLED is investigating a shooting on campus at Hugine Suites.
2 dead, at least one hurt, according to SC State.
Campus has been on lockdown since 9:15p. Updates to come @wis10.

@IffyTheDopester The other George Kell-ism.
When a hard hit foul ball behind home plate would reach the broadcast booth:
“Look out, Al!!!”
English

@IffyTheDopester Yessir! I lived in Sterling Heights as well: 15 and Ryan!
English

@IffyTheDopester ‘85 was the first year I ever attended a Tiger game at Tiger Stadium.
Seeing 23 at the plate, Gibby’s number lit up next to the “At Bat” on those iconic scoreboards… it was glorious.
English

@PaulMayne6 Absolutely. Got to go to safety patrol day in 5th grade, sat in the bleachers and watched Mickey Tettleton hit a walk off!
English

@ThatEricAlper Man. For me, it’s House 6.
Houses 1, 4 and 5 are close contenders.
But Phil Collins and Hall and Oates, plus Billy Joel- was enough for me.
Throw in Smooth Operator from Sade, Higher Love from Steve Winwood- and Africa from Toto….
This is the move. 😅
English

@FBGreatMoments I was there with my brother. A random stranger gifted us 50 yard line seats, just days before Christmas. Never have I heard the Silverdome so loud.
