For the very first time, it's time for Labaron Philon Sixers highlights!
Liked a lot of what we saw from the No. 22 pick. Some inconsistent shooting, but clear ability and game sense. Great handles and awareness; smart about collapsing the defense and kicking out for assists.

There is plenty to love about Labaron Philon Jr.'s first game in the summer league. He shot efficiently from 3-point range, showed tantalizing ball handling skills and effectively ran the offense.
I'm excited to see how he develops throughout the rest of the summer. #Sixers

JUST IN: The Denver Nuggets are waiving center Jonas Valanciunas, league sources told @hoopshype. He had a fully guaranteed $10 million decision today. Denver will now owe Valanciunas $2 million for the 2026-27 season. He’s averaged 12.8 points and 9.0 rebounds in 14 NBA seasons.

LeBron going back to Cleveland still seems like the most likely outcome, but it's a positive sign that the #Sixers are in the top three teams on LeBron's list of potential destinations.

The #Sixers began pursuing LeBron James immediately after acquiring Jaylen Brown; however, the league currently believes James will sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers, @WindhorstESPN said on Pardon My Take.
“As soon as they got the Jaylen [Brown] deal done, they immediately reached out—they’re going for it, they made their pitch … I’ve talked to people in Philly, I’m like ‘What do you think?’ And they’re like ‘We’re afraid it’s Cleveland.’ … [No other team pursuing LeBron James] seems like they have optimism.”

Caleb Love averaged 10.4 points in 49 games with the Trail Blazers last season. While Love will begin the year on a two-way contract, I wouldn't be shocked if he plays his way into receiving a standard deal at some point this season. #Sixers

The Sixers now have $2.062m remaining on the bi-annual, and a $4.2 million trade exception, at their disposal if they wish.
They are $4.3 million below the hard cap.

Adding Simons instantly improves the #Sixers' second unit. He averaged 14.3 points per game last season while shooting 38.5% from 3-point range. Between this signing and drafting Philon in the first round, Philly has successfully addressed their bench scoring issues.
