Important investigation from the excellent Alan Rusbridger into @GBNEWS His research suggests that GBN is woefully biased in contravention of Ofcom's broadcasting rules, and Ofcom itself can't be bothered doing anything about it. Simply not good enough thenewworld.co.uk/alan-rusbridge…

Important point from Ed Davey on @GBNews and their pro-Reform lines: "We cannot let GBN's propaganda turn the UK into their version of Trump's America." He also rightly criticises the feeble Ofcom response to GBN's multiple breaches of broadcasting standards. #PMQs @EdwardJDavey

@sgfmann More paranoid nonsense from the Daily Telegraph. Plus, I thought the USA had already won - Donald Trump told us so. Good rule of thumb: Always best to subject any utterances from DJT to serious scrutiny.

Kemi Badenoch repeatedly asks if Keir Starmer spoke to Peter Mandelson directly before appointing him. KS doesn't answer, so we assume he didn't. Not good enough from him. He tries to deflect, and attempts to expose KB over flip-flops on Iran. A dialogue of the deaf. #PMQs

Donald Trump hasn't yet sent US ships to open the Strait of Hormuz. He wants Europeans to do it instead. He has already insulted EU soldiers who died for previous US wars, and has talked about seizing Greenland. Plus Iran is a war he told us he'd already won. Incredible! #r4today

@GBNEWS Roger Bolton is a prince amongst men. Decent and honest, he tries to interrogate unfounded assertions, and find the truth. Martin Daubney is nothing but a Reform propagandist, in line with the @GBNews editorial line. He isn't fit to share the airwaves with Roger Bolton

‘You’re making a judgement on your own prejudices!’ ‘No I’m not, I am making my judgement on the editorial output of the BBC.’ Former BBC Presenter Roger Bolton and Martin Daubey clash over whether the BBC is out of touch.

He insulted the sacrifice of UK soldiers who gave their lives for US adventurism in Iraq and Afghanistan, and said he didn't need our help bcz the Iran war "was won", so now Donald Trump asks us to send ships to open the Strait of Hormuz. He's a real charmer, isn't he? #BBCNews

@PrestonsWomble I agree Keir Starmer often tries to avoid answering fully - just like his predecessors of both parties. But Kemi Badenoch needs to find a better way of anticipating it and dealing with it. Sounding like a sulky teen and descending into personal insults is not a great look. #PMQs

@Gregom10 Bit difficult when the PM always refuses to answer her questions. Fully understand why KB gets frustrated.

Kemi Badenoch tries to keep the focus on fuel duty. Keir Starmer responds by exposing her inconsistent position on the Iran war - should we be part of it or not? He also has a dig at Nigel Farage. KB needs to change her angry and petulant tone - it's a turn-off for voters. #PMQs

Interesting from Donald Trump friend Newsmax's Chris Ruddy. Can the relat w Keir Starmer can be repaired? "I don't think it was ever broken.. the USA didn't engage its allies fully w the importance of this attack.. the longer this goes on is not good for the USA" #r4today

@DanielJHannan No, Daniel. Our worst national humiliation was #Brexit, which you campaigned for. It made us poorer, weaker and isolated. We weren't being attacked by our foes, although the Brexit campaign was supported by our enemy Russia. You have a lot of apologising to do.

We have suffered our worst national humiliation since the Suez debacle, if not the fall of Singapore. This time, though, we lack the excuse of having been pressured by allies or attacked by foes. The decision to cower and plead neutrality even as Iranian proxies were lobbing ordnance at us was entirely our own. Sir Keir Starmer’s pusillanimity has left us looking weak, needy and duplicitous. And all for what? Anxiety about anti-Israel voters in constituencies like Gorton and Denton? Fear of crossing our human-rights obsessed Attorney General, Lord Hermer? Paywall down. telegraph.co.uk/gift/7fbd43143…

David Lammy is utterly hopeless. He has no grip of detail, no sense of the UK's overall strategy and just talks in bland platitudes. His stock response is "it would not be right for me to talk about..." when actually he just doesn't know. He's not Cabinet material. #r4today

Kristi Noem has been sacked by Donald Trump. Not over her ICE agents who are out of control. Not for their murder of US citizens exercising their lawful right to protest. But because she said DT knew abt the award of a corrupt $200m publicity contract. Loyalty, eh? #BBC #C4News

@KevinASchofield Kemi Badenoch's remarks miss the point so badly it's almost comic. I suspect Labour MPs and voters want reasoned arguments, ideas or criticism, not just a torrent of personal bile and hatred. Note how - as always - she portrays herself as the victim @KemiBadenoch

Kemi Badenoch says: "What Labour MPs want is for me to lie down and take it. They want to be able to punch and punch and punch me in the face and me do nothing about it. That is never going to happen. I am not a punching bag."

@AllisonPearson Utter nonsense It's *Donald Trump* who has trashed the relationship by starting a war w no legal basis, no clear objective and no idea how to avoid an Iraq-style quagmire, then expecting us to join him. And yes the USA is still sharing intel with the UK, just as it always has.

Starmer has trashed the Special Relationship on which our poorly-defended nation relies for its security. UK diplomats are horrified at this betrayal of the British interest in favour of grubby vote seeking from Muslims. US will not share intelligence with an Islamised UK!

Kemi Badenoch has some brass neck criticising Keir Starmer over defence spending. We certainly need to spend more, but she's forgotten that it was the years of Tory austerity that crippled our armed forces. Her nasty, angry tone and her mendacity are most unattractive. #PMQs

Kemi Badenoch tries to score cheap points over Iran, suggesting Keir Starmer is weak. She appears to want the UK to follow Donald Trump, who has provoked war w no plan for ending it. Her approach is always personal and confrontational. KS by contrast, sounds statesmanlike #PMQs

Trump's USA have absolutely no plan for Iran. They just want to remove the leadership with no thought for what's next. Result: civil war with the Balochs and Kurds agitating to break away. That'll go down a storm in Pakistan/Turkey. A recipe for crazy instability #r4today

Defence Sec Pete Hegseth: "We didn't start this war, but we will finish it. This isn't Iraq" Two dubious statements and one lie in 13 words. The US did start it, they have no plan how to finish it, and there's every danger it could become an Iraq-style quagmire. #Wato #r4today
