@iSpeakTheTruthy @theheraldsun Good luck with that. I understand the buggy whip manufacturers union are still protesting the introduction of the horseless carriage.

@GregoryJ1984 @theheraldsun They make sure everyones following the law. An automation tax will fix that.

@iSpeakTheTruthy @theheraldsun They are excellent at fucking employers and outsourcing jobs.
Why business would want to employ people in Australia is a mystery. The good news is that automation and AI will fix that.

Some appointments do make you wonder! While Lieutenant General Susan Coyle has deployed on multiple overseas operations, including to Afghanistan, she did not serve in a traditional “front line” combat infantry or special forces role involving direct ground combat engagements. Surely the Army chief needs to have had that kind of experience under their belt? Where are the ‘warrior’ leaders? 🤷♀️
English

Anthony Albanese has appointed Australia’s first female army chief in a major shake-up only days after the Australian Defence Force was rocked by the arrest of Ben Roberts-Smith.
Lieutenant General Susan Coyle was named as the new Chief of Army on Monday.
She takes over from Lieutenant General Simon Stuart AO, who had served in the role since 2022. > bit.ly/4270b1O

@MarkoMatvikov @conserv1951 The fact that the CFMEU skimmed $15billion from Victorian taxpayers is all Trumps fault apparently.
English

Jacinta knows Trump is broadly disliked in Australia.
She also knows the strain on families and increased demand for charities predates Trump’s war with Iran.
But it’s an opportunity to dismiss Labor’s failures and blame it all on him anyway.
This is the kind of populist politics Labor has the temerity to accuse others of.
Thankfully, Victorians can see through her crocodile tears.
She’ll remain the least popular state leader in the country and one of the least popular Victorian Premiers in history.

@theheraldsun A new meaning for ‘the council tightening its belt’ is that it has increased charges, rather than reduced spending.

Melbourne has delivered its third surplus in three years as the council tightens its belt, with ratepayers fronting the cost through rate increases and the first parking fee increase in eight years. > bit.ly/3QaWwNK

@ak_pennington @LezBeFranc @kelmarx83 If an 18 year old with no experience gets paid the same amount as someone with 10 years experience, why would anyone hire the 18 yo?
English

@LezBeFranc @kelmarx83 Wages will rise by 5% each yr for workers affected till 2029. Plenty to be pessimistic about atm but reversing this wages injustice isn’t it.
English

This is huge. A dent in cost-of-living chasm facing young people. Cheap youth labour has been a legal business model in Aus since 1930s. 18-20yr-olds will now be recognised as adults in our IR system! #auspol abc.net.au/news/2026-03-3…

@katinadoc @klayzy @nyunggai I’m afraid it’s going to be a choice between the incompetent (Liberals) and the corrupt (Labor).
It’s a pity they can’t both lose.
English

Sorry @nyunggai. That is not enough. Victorian state director Phillip Davies must go. Every senior Liberal who knew about Denesh Gourisetty's letter of support for a pedophile but ignored it must be sacked and booted from the party. There must be ZERO tolerance of child sex abuse or any aid or succor to pedophiles.
Furthermore, every Liberal who publicly celebrated Moira's preselection loss with words like 'F--- you very much' (hello Louise Staley) and 'bitch' (that'd be you Heath Wilson) need to be permanently booted from the party as well. End of story.
No woman should ever vote Liberals until they get rid of this dreck and no decent man should do so either.
Nyunggai Warren Mundine AO@nyunggai
I want the incompetent Allan Labor Government to be defeated. I want to see Jess Wilson as the next Premier. For this to happen, Moira Deeming is critical for that to happen.
