🚨#BREAKING: Officials have just announced that both the pilot and co-pilot have tragically been confirmed dead following the plane collision with a fire truck at LaGuardia Airport in New York.

UPDATE: Analysis of tower audio and map of the airport indicates the aircraft was showing a speed of 114kts or 131mph. JAZZ646 (yellow line) was cleared to land on Runway 4. Truck 1 & Company (green line) requested to cross RW 4 and was authorized to cross by the tower at taxiway D (red circle). Tower then attempts to call Truck 1 and tells them to stop multiple times. The silences and unrelated traffic has been trimmed from this audio, provided by @liveatc.

I have to address this as well. I was at the game yesterday and I have to say the policing from the moment of entering the ground to leaving it was absolutely abysmal. Personally, I believe the police have a lot to answer for in terms of what unfolded. When Celtic and Rangers play at Hampden there is always a clear police line behind both goals. It’s not always a massive presence at first, but the line is there. When a team scores, the police temporarily move in with a heavier presence and then step back again once things settle. Given yesterday went to penalties, I was genuinely amazed that the police hadn’t already created a perimeter behind both goals like they do at Hampden. Had that been in place, the pitch invasion simply wouldn’t have happened. Instead, the policing yesterday felt completely reactionary rather than proactive. There didn’t seem to be a clear matchday plan and at times it felt like total chaos. They policed the game as if there were only a few hundred away fans in the stadium, not the reality of a massive high-risk fixture. No doubt they’ll try to avoid any blame, but their handling of the match yesterday was, quite frankly, embarrassing.

This is clearly horrific! @SkyNews Can you please direct me to your horrific story on the 167 school girls aged between 7 and 11 that were murdered by the Israeli strike on Saturday???

While Labour and Tories attempt to defend the indefensibly high student debt in England, Scottish students get free tuition thanks to the SNP. For as long as we’re in government, Scottish undergraduate students will pay no fees. Vote SNP to protect free university tuition.

🚫 Trump’s military out of Scotland! The @scottishgreens led a debate to evict Trump’s troops from all Scot Gov airports, including Prestwick, which has been used as a de facto US military base Every other party chose to keep them here. The Greens voted to give them the boot 🥾

The Lord Advocate sits in Cabinet, tips off the First Minister, and then tells MSPs she’s “not corrupt.” She's got to go.
