Here's the step by step, pic by pic foolproof recipe: grillinfools.com/ground-pork-sm…
English

@smokefatsalt You want that alphabetically by name, or should I break it out into type first? It's a great starter grill, but it's by no means best in breed. And I've owned my current one for 18 years.

@JoeLed714 @ChefGruel I rented an ice cream truck for Mem Day a few years ago. Thinking the parents would keep their kids to 2, maybe 3 ice creams. 30 minutes in and pretty much every kid (more than 15) had at least 4 each. At the 45 minute mark, I shut it down. THAT was a fortune
English

@GrillinFool @ChefGruel Yeah, same, we had one come by our house and I had a bunch of neighborhood kids over hanging out with mine. I decided to buy ice cream for everyone, it was a fortune.
English

If you have an ice cream guy in your area, FIND them! I found a guy and he swings by every two days. Ice cream bars for $1. I clean out the truck. Feed the kids for a week (just sprinkle some protein on it).

The ice cream truck went by!!!!🍦I haven’t seen one of these in years. What would you get?

@SwineSpectator I butterflied like this till I saw someone flip it over at Memphis in May. The juices collect in the cavity and do amazing things for the pig
English

@GrillinFool I used to do whole hogs for the Superbowl. I used a cinderblock pit with an expanded metal grate. I found butterflied to be best for me. I'd leave an opening in the blocks and use a shovel to place wood and coals in the corners to cook the shoulders and hams.

@RippinNSnortin That pig in my post took 5 hours. 110 lbs. The foil is just a heat deflector so it doesn’t burn. The lid on the grill traps the heat and smoke. That was my best pig to date. Really came out well.
English

If ONLY one or two tips…here ‘ya go.
First tip, consistent low and slow heat smoke from burnt down smoldering chopped wood for a day. Replenish to keep heat “smoking low”.
Second tip, cover OVER to trap smoke heat. No need to block what you’re trying to accomplish by cooking it on a sheet of tin-foil. The whole hog skin will trap/encapsulate your juices and shoot through the meat as it heats!
Bonus tip: Go to a Pig Pickin’ in Eastern NC a day or two early and you’ll learn all you’ll ever need to know about BBQ.

@CamHoltey @billymo825 @kylegeorg @CPhilly19 When wasn’t the box subjective? You act like this is a new development.
English

@billymo825 @GrillinFool @kylegeorg @CPhilly19 It is now. I said the "box" is subjective. There are competitive reasons that a pitch with a 2 strike count, less than full, shouldn't be called a strike. That's not the way anymore. So be it, but it dilutes the game at the highest levels. The highest levels
English

@The_Ryan_Shull At this point I think 30 is more likely than NOT getting to 20.
English

@CamHoltey @kylegeorg @CPhilly19 Wait, difficulty of the task impacts whether the end result should be changed arbitrarily based on intent alone?
English

@GrillinFool @kylegeorg @CPhilly19 Hitting is enough harder than pitching to fairly say, "a hit's a hit".
English

@CamHoltey @kylegeorg @CPhilly19 Yes it does. Just because the pitched missed the part of the strike zone they aimed for but still hit the strike zone, it's a strike. It always has been and always will be. Same if a hitter wants to try to pull one but bumps it opposite field, still a hit.
English

At least with ABS it is the same from stadium to stadium and game to game.
Kyle Georg@kylegeorg
@TheBenPeck @CPhilly19 Ok cool. Still a strike by those rules. So either a human calls it a strike or a ball based on their eyesight. Or the humans who created ABS call it a ball or strike based on an algorithm. 🤷♂️
English

@magickX111 It's intimidating the first time. But after that, it's not hard. Finding a grill big enough and a pig are the hardest part.

English

@GrillinFool I’d love to be able to do this. This is top tier grilling for me.
English

@grifftg6335 That's a good one. I was freaking out with my first one on how long it would take...
English

@johnnylocal @TheBabylonBee @ScottRo83866595 @TastyMeatBBQ @ThatDudeBBQ First, perfecto on those steaks. And the Babylon Bee needs to stop projecting to those that can cook
English

@TheBabylonBee Study by whom?... certainly not ME, or @ScottRo83866595 @TastyMeatBBQ @GrillinFool @ThatDudeBBQ and many others...last few, as targeted. I never #Kirkn it.

@Cornhol17759623 @johnnylocal @TheBabylonBee @ScottRo83866595 @TastyMeatBBQ @ThatDudeBBQ Another person confusing personal preference with everyone's preference. The narcism is strong in this one. .
English

@johnnylocal @TheBabylonBee @ScottRo83866595 @TastyMeatBBQ @GrillinFool @ThatDudeBBQ Looks like shit. You're proving the study correct.
English

@MrsHunter70 People gotta stop making out that their preference is what Chili was meant to be. They just need to say they don't like beans, not try to debate the invention of chili based on their preferences. And just because MeeMaw made them without beans doesn't make that the only way.
English

Who wants to fight us on chili? it’s meat and chilies!
