Crowd-sourced data gives us a lens into how big the ICE surge was in MN compared to other places, visualized today in the Minnesota @StarTribune startribune.com/is-ice-really-… The data (from People over Papers) isn't perfect but contains some insights: 🔹The report numbers suggests federal agents were more active in the suburbs during height of Operation Metro Surge than in MPLS/STP. 🔹At it's peak, it nearly matched efforts in LA, which has 2.2 million undocumented immigrants, compared to the 130,000 in MN (according to Pew Research Center) 🔹Statewide enforcement in MN has dwarfed the rest of the nation.
