By leaving deadwood in community spaces and woods, land managers & councils can provide homes for all sorts of insects, mosses, fungi & lichens, as well as vital bird & bat nesting sites. It's also easy #climateaction, as deadwood locks up carbon for years!

70 days ago I started a petition to get #hedgehogs greater legal protection.
22 days ago it qualified for written response from gov.
In 112 days petition closes.
No support from conservation organisations etc.

So the Government have banned plastic straws and now they're doing a consultation on banning plastic wet wipes...I agree this is much needed action, but meanwhile people can cover their entire property in plastic?? Can we get some perspective here!! @Shitlawns
