@Growler180 @Dartpractice Just look at the premier league players. Humphries, Price, & MVG all use standard points, stems (Price has aluminium), & flights. All this expensive shit isn’t making anyone any better, just poorer 🤣 If Littler used normal flights, stems & points he’d be just as good.

@Dartpractice @Growler180 We don’t need fancy points though. This is all part of the manufacturers plan. They’ve made us all think that we need special coatings on barrel, expensive screw points, & all-in-1 twisting flights. All we need is a barrel that’s comfortable, push points, 10p flights & stems.

@Dartpractice @Growler180 I’ve got over 30 sets of darts at home and my 11 year old son always chooses my old man’s set from the late 70s to play with. If he ever takes up darts I certainly won’t be buying him anything expensive. It’s really not necessary.

@Dartpractice Yeah it's bonkers...such an incredible expense to potentially find out that they don't even suit your throw too! When I came back to darts I just bought second hand...the only list price darts I've ever bought new were Loxley & that's because they're really reasonable.

@Growler180 Parents nowadays need to have a good amount of money to buy all these things for the kids haha. When i was young the prime darts where 60-70 euro the unicorn darts silver 55-60 and gold 70 haha now the toptier darts are 140+ lol

Bit of a curious one tonight. I'm just in the club watching the team play & one of the opponents, mid throw, stopped, answered his phone & had a conversation! Turned out he'd taken the wrong keys from home!!! I think it's hugely disrespectful, but is there anything against it? 😕

@tom_riding170 That's great! I run a summer singles here in ingleton. Everyone plays everyone in the league & that gives the seedings for a double elimination end of season knockout. We only have 2 boards though so that limits me to a 3 leg format (play all legs) to get the games in.

Swanley Singles is moving to Plunstead Common Working Mens club the home of London County darts. 8 boards and all players will play 3 matches per night best of 8 501. Everyone plays each other. Moving away from vault format.

Bit of a thumping in the final but I had a good go & really should have taken 3 of the legs...couldn't buy a double! Super pleased with how things have gone in my first comp for nearly 2 years! If you haven't got some already, get some @loxley robins...beautiful darts! 🥰🤩
