I converted from Catholicism to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 2 years ago, and I have nothing but love for my Catholic roots. I don't dwell on faults, but the strengths and wisdom I learnt. Gratitude for my past and my future.

I left Catholicism as a teenager. I pretty much just moved on from it but I felt traumatized by losing God and Christ. I didnt believe it was true and that's what hurt so much. It felt like a betrayal. I never ever attacked anyone for their faith though and always stayed hoping God was real and dualism was real.

I've noticed a strong wave of "Mormons are deluded/deceived/nice-but-evil" lately.
Insipidly sad for these folks to expend their energies on raw bigotry. And YES, it's 100% bigotry. They can drape and marinate their bigotry in Biblical terms all they want, but it's bigotry.
