It remains absurd to me that there are postdoc jobs which pay $40k/year but jobs requiring a BA for which I am now "overqualified" which pay wayyyyy more than that

Before everyone starts going on about "Judeo-Christian" anything: there IS no such thing as "Judeochristian", these are 2 different religions which disagree on a number of things. Judaism teaches that life begins at birth. Not conception, birth.

Freedom of religion means YOU can practice YOUR religion, not that you can force your religious beliefs on others or prevent people from doing things your religion disapproves of. Freedom OF religion must also mean freedom FROM religion for it to count for anything
