Even if Labour lose in 2029, Burnham plans to set up devolved Labour power bases across the country which will make any incoming non-Labour government impotent.

@ManOfKent15 @veryfathomer VAT was brought in as a temporary tax on only luxury items. A sobering reminder to never trust what politicians say.

@veryfathomer We should be looking to reduce VAT to 10% with the aim of removing it altogether in the long term.

If the government raised VAT to 25%, abolished VAT on all hot food and drinks served in bars and cafe's and restaurants, it could raise enough to pay £100 a month to everyone's heating bills. For me personally that'd be a win. Not for everyone though admittedly, hurts spenders.

@RWTaylors It is a joke. Whereas native Britons vote for people based on political philosophy, these third world implants only vote on sectarian grounds for their own ethnic/religious groups. That means when the immigration population reaches a certain level, white Brits are excluded.

It elected a Mayor to make the capital safer, cleaner and better run. Instead of clocking up frequent flyer miles, perhaps he should be spending more time tackling the problems affecting the people who pay his wages. If this government were really serious about Net Zero then why is this new PM we have at the moment flying to Manchester on a private jet costing in excess of £30K when he could easily have got the train. It appears Net Zero is for us but not for them. It’s all one big SCAM
