@CantStopDaRayne Respectfully, Duncan was drafted to a great situation. Spurs won 59 games led by HOfer David Robinson. Then tanked next season with him out due to injury and Duncan got to play w/David Robinson as a rookie who was still a mvp candidate. Steph had Monta Ellis.

Steph and Duncan were judged differently than LeBron and Kobe. Their teammates will always be used against them while Kobe and LeBron continue to get passes for playing on stacked teams. People treat LeBron and Kobe like they had it as bad as Kevin Garnett in Minnesota just because they dealt with adversity for a handful of years in their career. Meanwhile, these same people act like Steph and Duncan got drafted into the best situations ever. I don't know how it got to a point where Steph and Duncan got deductions because they made role players like Draymond, Klay, Iggy, Wiggins, TP, Bowen, Kawhi, and Manu better, but Kobe and LeBron get elevated for winning with already established stars and superstars.

That said, this is not what happened with Kobe, nor Dirk. Kobe asked out, then later cashed in on the years served $. Even though it limited the Lakers ability to win. Dirk took less, leaving the window open for Dallas to maneuver and win again. The franchise didn’t make good.
