First Page of the ebook I am writing
It was a warm summer night in June of 1998.
Hard year for me with health issues and I was about to meet my musical
heroes at the Molson Ampitheatre in Toronto
Metallica had been my favourite band since 1988 when I first saw them
in concert and over the years my fandom became strong enough for me to
join the fanclub (aka Metclub) in 1997 so my dream was to meet the
band - Especially the lead singer James Hetfield.
We arrived and I went to the fanclub booth to see if I had been picked
for the Meet and Greet and luckily with a little charm I was able to
get a pass for the pre-show meet and greet where I met James Hetfield
and Jason Newstead.
As I was walking to my seats I approached one of the fanclub
representatives named Niclas and thanked him for the pass.
Niclas then turned to me and said "Why dont you stay for the
afterparty?" and handed me two passes, one of which I gave to my
friend Lannie who was with me.
After the concert we returned to backstage and Lars appeared and
signed autographs. I had him sign my program and called him "Mr
Ulrich" to which he replied "that's me" without making eye contact.
Once everything was signed and people were starting to head home I was
approached by Niclas who asked if I wanted to stay and go to Features
with him and some other crew.
The Features I knew was a late night bakery in downtown Toronto -
however - this was not the Features they were talking about.
I quietly waited with Niclas until everyone left the afterparty and
then was led to a white limousine that was apparently headed to
"Features"
As I climbed into the limo, there was one man named Rob to the left of
me and then I sat facing Lars and a woman who was not his wife that he
had his arm around. She was native and had dark skin and hair. She
had the same necklace on as me and said "Hey! Sisters!"
I just kinda sat in shock. I was a big fan of the band and knew that
Lars' wife Skylar was 8 months pregnant with their first child Myles.
I'm guessing the look on my face said it all and I refused to make
conversation with Lars all the way to Features.
As well, Features ended up being a strip joint in Etobicoke where we
were led up the back stairs to the VIP lounge where Lars brought his
own wine and people were using cocaine.
I refused to go into any of the booths and sat at the bar with Niclas.
Lars ended up leaving without us and we were able to get a ride back
into Toronto by some German Metallica Fan Club members who were
working the booth that night and had come to Features with us.
They all came back to my place and had a nap before driving the
Cleveland for their next show on Saturday night.
From that day forward my life changed.
Getting in that limo and seeing what I saw put me on Lars' radar as he
had been hiding a cocaine addiction as well as the infidelity.
After that day, Lars Ulrich began to stalk me....and would continue to
do so from that day in 1998 doing anything he could to discredit me,
destroy me and make my life miserable to cover his tracks.
This is the story of my stalker....
