@icardo8 Avatí es maíz en guaraní. Pororó en realidad es una palabra onomatopéyica que imita el sonido que hace el maíz. En guaraní hay un montón de palabras así, ej: pararã, hu'u, pereré, pururû, etc.

Mitad de Argentina le dice pochoclo y mitad pororó. Los que dicen pochoclo usan la raíz quechua donde po es explotado y choclo es maíz. Los que dicen pororó usan la raíz guaraní donde po es explotado y roró es maíz. Palomitas no le decimos en ningún lado.
