@SupremoAutismo @Stevo9988 @esjesjesj Brother what aspects of Kaya makes her “In essence a lord”? Her money? The appropriate title is wealthy commoner (they have money too). You gotta think of the whole picture. She doesn’t attend the reverie, she doesn’t collect taxes, she doesn’t rule over anything.

@Guapo733 @Stevo9988 @esjesjesj Do you know what the phrase "in essence" means? Try to become literate before acting smug about understanding words. Kaya is so rich in comparison to everyone else on Syrup that even without a title she is treated as if her family had one

@SupremoAutismo @Stevo9988 @esjesjesj She is not the lord of a small island 😂 she doesn’t have authority over syrup island or rule over it. I can’t take you seriously when you don’t even know the meaning of the words you throw around.

@Guapo733 @Stevo9988 @esjesjesj >mentioning live action and expecting me to take you seriously Kaya is in essence the Lord of a small island that she inherited from her parents she is objectively part of the upper class and Luffy would not have been able to start his journey had Kaya not given him the Merry

@SupremoAutismo @Stevo9988 @esjesjesj Brother, Kaya is a wealthy commoner who has no control over the state and doesn’t exploit over a large social class. In the live action she even alludes to her wanting to redistribute her wealth which aligns with her decision to give the Merry for free.

@Stevo9988 @esjesjesj And it’s the wealthy class (celestial dragons) who are in the way of those dreams. They set up laws and a system through the WG to filter and control the masses and brand ppl who have the valor to follow their dreams as criminals (pirates). It’s you who missed the message.

@esjesjesj You completely missed the point of One Piece bud. Maybe stick to toddler level programs since you seem to follow the plot better. One Piece's message is that some dreams should be followed no matter how crazy they seem. You missed the message by tens of thousands of miles.

Gina Carano reveals she’s spoken to Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau about returning to Star Wars. “We got onto a Zoom call. It was really nice. Dave is taking over as CEO of Star Wars. We didn’t miss a beat. Jon Favreau got on Zoom and was really funny. He was like, ‘So, where did we leave off?’” (Source: youtube.com/watch?v=YAQf86…)

@6starwarsfilms It wasn’t until the Clone Wars came by did the series massage the prequels era into something great. But an average moviegoer isn’t going to sit through the Clone Wars to finally make sense of the stakes, arcs, and characters.

@6starwarsfilms Come on man this take is reasonable. I love Episode 3, but you have to admit the trilogy as a whole was bloated and confusing for the average moviegoer. The trilogy intros a bunch one dimensional characters only to kill them off quickly, Anakin’s fall was a mess, & dry dialogue

@DreadedNuance @Geo_AW Her rxn would be indifference, she’d seen how marines can be under Arlong’s (a pirates) payroll, she’s never believed in Navy cause they’ve failed to free her town. Again, the Revs would pick up whatever mess Garp leaves behind for siding with Ace. It’d actually do more good.

@Guapo733 @Geo_AW …go back to before Nami met Luffy, and tell her that the hero of the marines sided with the son of the Pirate King, killing all admirals to do so (as he would have to). What would her reaction be? Garp wouldn’t be siding with the Revolutionaries. He’d be siding with PIRATES.

@DreadedNuance @Geo_AW Again, your line of questioning is nulled when the Revolutionary Army is right there, saving people’s lives from both the WG and pirates. If Garp were to have saved Ace the fall of the WG would’ve been accelerated. Like it or not Garp’s reasoning is selfish and that’s fine.

@Guapo733 @Geo_AW ….okay? That doesn’t affect my point at all? I’m talking about the damage that narratives can cause. What kind of results would the narrative “hero of the marines murders the top law enforcement and sides with the bloodline of the most vile person on the planet” create?

@RevMaher It could even sharpen the contradictions of the WG. The more pirates there are the more likely good pirates will rise, the more pirates there are the more authoritarian the WG/Navy becomes thus making the masses question the world & eventually revolt. These panels come to mind

@RevMaher Hey bro! I see your point. But I’m not counting Dragon out just yet. Having the final poneglyph to create the Pirate era, which makes the hungry masses ungovernable in search of wealth that they think is treasure to solve their problems, puts strain on WG & accelerate its fall

Let's set an analytical rule derived from those panels : “The man marked by flames has freedom of time & movement to wander the seas with his ship, to the extent that he became famous even to rookie pirates” Well, Imu didnt have the time or the freedom for that!! #ONEPIECE1180

@DreadedNuance @Geo_AW Yes that’s how WG propaganda works. Like it or not there are pirates that save people’s lives (Ace saved Otama & WB saved Fishmen island) just like there are bad pirates. Revolutionary Army is the only faction that are real heroes because the Navy upholds oppressive WG laws.

@Guapo733 @Geo_AW The same newspaper that gave him the name he can’t reject, also paints Ace and Whitebeard as the worst kind of evil. And once the war started, everyone knew Ace was the son of Gol D Roger.

@DreadedNuance @Geo_AW His title is meant to serve the WG more than anything. Garp was given the title “Hero of the Marines” by the World Government for propaganda’s sake. If you’d know anything about Garp’s character you’d even know that he hates that title.

@Guapo733 @Geo_AW Does Garp belong to the Revolutionary Army? Or is he instead known as “The Hero of the Marines”, and given a seat comparable to the Admirals? Garp specifically said he’s staying in to look out for the Marines at the bottom. What would happen to their spirits if he freed Ace?

He let his grandson die because if he rebelled, it would be the death of countless marines and innocent civilians, as pirates around the world would have seen the “hero of the marines” defy the very code he represented. And not the good kind of pirates, but the Blackbeard kind of pirates. When banks fail, it is seldom bankers who starve. When governments fail, it is seldom the elites who bleed.

@RevMaher 💯 Given the fact that Iva knew about St. Nerona Imu, it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that Dragon might know of the prophecy and maybe created catalysts to make it come true. Just a theory, but: - Having shanks steal the fruit - Kuzan spy & advise BB - has the last poneglyph

WHY ISN'T DRAGON ON THIS PAGE? Bcz it simply concerns characters related to the prophecy. Dragon isnt the heir of any prophecy. Rather, he's like a phenomenon, and all he did was his individual effort! His absence is originally a positive indicator for him! 🐉🔥#ONEPIECE1179

@RevMaher In these panels Dragon was missing. That might be Oda’s way of showing us that Dragon is moving out of Imu’s periphery & that Dragon is moving certain pieces that cause these “inevitable disasters” that torment Imu and force Imu to come down from his ivory tower.
