@littlegaudy @alomshaha My kids use this service to learn Bangla! They have already started reading and we bought our first feluda book 😊

English

@alomshaha @GubaBooks Same. My Mum is sending me Feluda stories one page at a time, and I understand maybe a third, mostly the dialogue. Still, as she says, better than being totally illiterate.
English

@alomshaha Yes we do actually! I think our UK stock is finished but I’ll make sure to connect with you when they are available there!
English

@alomshaha Thank you Alom!! Such a treat to hear that she is enjoying the book 😀!!

@romehrooz hi, I am the founder and editor of a Bangladeshi-American children’s book publisher. We are working on making kids books with Rohingya culture and representation. If you’re interested to author one of these stories, please message me. Thank you!

@farooq_ro hi, I am the founder and editor of a Bangladeshi-American children’s publishing company. We are interested to work with freelance authors to create children’s stories representing Rohingya culture. If you are interested to work on children’s books, please message me!

@YasminJUllah Hi Yasmin, I am founder/editor of a Bangladeshi-American children’s publishing company called Guba Books. We would love to speak with you about authoring a children’s story (Rohingya perspective and culture) for a picture book. Message me if you’re interested. Thank you!
English

@alomshaha And you are so spot on about how “diverse” books are placed in mainstream publishing. Always love to read your insights!
English

@alomshaha This is amazing news! It sounds so good and can’t wait to know more 😊
English

@mirror_write @alomshaha We are on Instagram handle gubabooks and yes, would love to promote you guys as well ☺️☺️
English

@GubaBooks @alomshaha Hi Raya, lovely to Twitter meet you. It would be amazing to see if we could find a way to make it work but in the meantime if you are on Instagram we could try and help you with some promotion if that helps. 💛
English

@mirror_write @alomshaha Thank you so much for the introduction Alom! Ayesha, you’re so right, the ridiculously high shipping costs are such a barrier for small set ups like ours. It’s still lovely to meet someone working in the space of diverse children’s literature 😊
English

@alomshaha @GubaBooks Hi Alom, thank you for introducing us to them, I hadn’t but would love to see their work. Our hardest challenge as a small set up, are books from abroad as the shipping costs are extortionate, so even better if there is a UK distributor.
English

@alomshaha We are huge fans of your work too! Thank you so much for the support, I look forward to speaking in the future 😊😊
English

@alomshaha We are trying to make Bangla less intimidating and more fun and approachable for learners. So happy to hear your feedback 🙏🏽
