I’m sure they could get some good signings but then not being on Netflix I feel like they’d just end up like a PFL. Having big names but most people still just watch UFC only. It all depends on Netflix imo.

@jirienjoyer @Jithi_MMA @WalnutMMA It will 100% perform well because of Netflix but will Netflix want a promotion or care to have multiple cards? They seem like they’d only want a few big cards a year. Without Netflix idk how well MVP could do in terms of paying talent a lot and poaching them.

@Jithi_MMA @WalnutMMA Idk if MVP wants to become a promotion or if they really can, but hopefully if the Netflix card gets traction and they starting have more cards the UFC will be forced to step it up and do shit like resign Mokaev and pay more for talent. But I have doubts

@muhammadmokaev If Dana and UFC were smart they’d poach you off the MVP card to fuck with them and that card since it’s the biggest potential competitor to the UFC if they start having more cards. I doubt with contracts tho they would be able to and the UFC is also very stupid anyways.

@fuer__ I see I see, I think Asaf has a good chance, Gasanov I don’t know but maybe if MVP and PFL keep poaching these guys UFC will step up and start signing them to prevent that.

@GubenMMA "Asaf is waiting for a call from the UFC" That's all it says. It looks like Gasanov has started negotiations, but we shouldn't get our hopes up too high. That's because the UFC has become such a massive organization that signing high-priced fighters requires a lot of approvals.

I keep seeing this argument, namely, the MVP show is going to cause free agents to jump ship. Guys, are you aware of how UFC contracts work? Some talent will trickle out, likely to be much later than they would’ve liked. The rest will leave the UFC when the UFC decides.

@SpinninBackfist Tbh, it's a great thing this is happening. UFC's been an effective monopoly for too long and pays fighters peanuts as a result. If this card succeeds, I hope more top UFC fighters jump ship and earn a better living for their families.

@RevengePW_ Salahdine Parnasse is one of the best fighters not signed to the UFC, Ngannou is the lineal Heavyweight champ and should get a brutal KO and Diaz vs Perry is pretty fun and the whole card will be on free on Netflix what’s there to complain about.
