Perhaps if people who leave the scene of crashes are prosecuted with penalties similar to those of drink drivers, we may stop having stories like this so often.

Started at Grandes Rocques & got as far as Puffin & Oyster before realising!

Sat on the 92 bus & it’s going completely the wrong direction, I wonder at what point the driver will realise.

Is it time to get tougher on drink drivers? A 2nd offence should be a lifetime ban from driving, in my opinion, rather than just 4 years, as in this case. These repeat offenders are clearly not responsible enough to be allowed behind the wheel.

While some of the grumbles about the ‘new’ sixth form centre may be valid, this one just smacks of entitlement. They’re in for a rude awakening when they join the working masses.

@RossLeBrun Said this for ages, with Valnord Lane being one way up & Rozel Road one way down it seems obvious to make Collins Road one way going west with a cycle contraflow.

Are we trying to avoid doing a proper job and turning Collings Rd one way? Collings Rd isn’t wide enough for a contraflow? But the one way at Capelles filter is narrower with a contraflow 🫣😄

Can’t believe the number of people who never volunteer for Parkrun but still run every week. The highest I’ve seen in Guernsey is 334 runs with zero volunteering duties. Just selfish

The time has come for Foden to say clearly where he sees himself in the England team and where he believes he can be most effective. Because he's been right, left, 10 and not impacted games as he does at his best for City. Not a vintage season for him but England, Tuchel and Foden need to know where he believes he can operate most effectively. Wide right isn't that.

@RossLeBrun A lot more one-way roads with contra flows for cyclists plus traffic calming measures on those roads. I’m sure it would help the flow of traffic as well. Would allow proper pavements to be built as well instead of the dangerous token painted lines.

Maybe, just maybe, it’s the ridiculous amount if traffic on the roads that makes people late, not 50m of roadworks. Stop looking for excuses

@RossLeBrun Interesting take by Guernsey Police, didn’t realise it was up to them which laws to enforce.

Could insurance companies take states of Guernsey to court to recover costs for their policy of allowing drivers in heavy cars to break the law and speed and all the claims they’ve had to pay out for on the resulting damage? Are insurance companies aware of this liability?
