@Waifunomics Yeah I was never a real idol fan either, Love Live was enough to satisfy me. I still listen Guilty Kiss and Saint Snow a decent bit, favorite song would have to be Deep Sea Cocoon. Also was very happy with AiScream last year.

@ChibiReviews I would add Monogatari, Made in Abyss, and NGNL to the list also. They're all extremely popular, highly praised anime from the pre-covid era that forces a new person to gauge their tolerance level (or affection level) for the dark and/or taboo content contained inside.

These two anime should be required to be watched to determine if you're allowed to watch anime. Cause depending on how you view them will say a lot about you as a person.

@Urban__Tree Depends, if they strike me as the person that would like anime then I'd recommend a favorite of mine like Monogatari, Made in Abyss, or Toradora. If they're just doing it because anime is trendy I would probably just tell them to save some time and not bother.

@GoddessCatto It's crazy that a good plurality of the western fanbase will buy and play every single game, buy the deluxe editions, and then act shocked that actually a lot of us enjoyed the beach date with Altina, as well as the onsens, outfits, and other fanservice that they helped finance.

You're damn right I will. This franchise isn't made with you assholes in mind. It's made for a Japanese audience and culture. There's nothing wrong with liking typical anime cultural norms and plotlines and the fact you cannot realize that attacking other fans won't change that is hilarious. Either stop giving money to Falcom or shut up about these elements. You can dislike whatever you want, that's fine. It's when you attack others that DO like it and call it problematic and try pushing for it to not exist that you stir up fans that DO enjoy everything about this franchise. Grow up.
