A very determined looking Ruth Croft passes over the col at km 106 (+75 mins) in fourth place. There was no hanging around - she broke into a run as soon as she started the descent. #UTMB

Loving that Russell Coutts has been awarded an honorary degree in epidemiology and has now started critiquing the work of, in his words, "so called 'experts'"

@benkepes @NZNationalParty @chrisluxonmp Yeah that’s a load of crap. It’s been long proven that Daniel was not the hero of that movie. He was the new kid in school that had a chip on his shoulder and picked fights. Totally deserved to get his knee swept….

@GuiseGrant As a matter of fact, you were off riding. Also, you're way too cool to come to a party for me.

@benkepes Same same but different- bikes and hombres are both tools. Bikes are sometimes the right tool for the job, hombres….. just tools

Agreed. Perfect example: I hold the deranged view that running 100 miles on the trot is a good idea. Cray cray

@benkepes I’d also challenge you to see if you can figure out what beliefs you hold that may actually not be logical. We all have them, many of them. You won’t be able to admit them, as that would cause cognitive dissonance. But you should be able to write down some possibilities.

Pro tip: Don't run 100 miles/161 kms (with 10km of vertical gain) and then spend three days sitting down. It plays havoc on your back...

Just had coffee with a cyclist dude who, for some unknown reason, was wearing a @hardrock100 tee shirt. Weird. Any ideas, @GuiseGrant ???
