Weather delay? More like Demon delay. Northwestern State rolled into Alex Box and ran it—dropping 13 runs on No. 4 LSU and handing the Tigers their first non-conference run-rule loss of the season. Braden Benton blew the game wide open with a three-run bomb in a six-run third inning, while Reese Lipoma (3 hits, 3 runs) and Rocco Gump (2 hits, 3 RBIs) sparked the offense all night long. On the bump, Bryce Leonard silenced the LSU bats with two scoreless innings in his backyard, and the bullpen slammed the door with five innings of shutdown baseball. Demons made a statement—and did it in style.
